This policy covers Vallume GPT and every other AI-assisted feature on the Platform, such as judgment summaries, clause and document tools. It forms part of our Terms of Use.
1. What the AI does
Vallume GPT answers legal questions in plain language, drawing on Indian statutes, judgments and other sources, and can help draft, summarise and review documents. Answers are generated by large language models provided by third parties (such as OpenAI) and by Vallume's own processing.
2. Limits you must keep in mind
- AI output can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or biased, and may sound confident when it is wrong.
- Citations may be inaccurate or may not support the point made. Check every authority against the original judgment or statute.
- The AI does not know the full facts of your matter and is not a substitute for an advocate. AI output is not legal advice; see our Legal Disclaimer.
- Do not file AI output in court, send it to a client or rely on it for a decision without a qualified person reviewing it.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use the AI features to:
- do anything illegal, including fabricating evidence, forging documents or obstructing justice;
- harass, defame or impersonate anyone, or create content prohibited by our Community Guidelines;
- process personal data of others without a lawful basis;
- try to extract the system prompts, bypass safety measures or usage limits, or automate access;
- resell access, or use output to build a competing AI product.
4. Your data
- Your questions, uploaded documents and the answers are stored in your account so you can return to them. You can delete threads at any time.
- They are sent to our AI providers only to generate the answer. Under our agreements, providers do not use your data to train their models.
- Avoid entering confidential client information unless you are allowed to share it. Anonymise names and details where you can.
- See our Privacy Policy for more.
5. Output ownership
As between you and Vallume, you may use the output generated for you, subject to this policy and the rights of others. Similar questions from other users may produce similar output.
6. Plans, limits and credits
Usage is limited by your plan or credit balance, as shown on the Vallume GPT page. We may change limits or models to keep the service reliable. Refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Reporting problems
If an answer is harmful, offensive or clearly wrong, report it to legal@vallume.com. Reports help us improve the service.
