These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Vallume (Global) Legal and AI ("Vallume", "we", "us"), Company Address here. They govern your use of https://www.vallume.com, our apps and every service offered through them (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms and to the policies they refer to. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. What Vallume is
Vallume is a legal-services and legal-education platform. Through it you can:
- find advocates and law firms and book consultations with them;
- request legal services offered by Vallume or by independent advocates;
- buy and take courses published by Vallume and by independent instructors;
- use Vallume GPT and other AI-assisted research tools;
- read judgment briefs, research papers, blogs, news and Vallume TV content;
- take part in discussions, the forum and other community features.
Unless a service page says it is delivered by Vallume itself, advocates, law firms and instructors on the Platform are independent professionals. They, not Vallume, are responsible for the advice, services and course content they provide.
2. Not legal advice
General information on the Platform, including AI-generated answers, judgment summaries, blogs and course material, is for information and education only. It is not legal advice and does not create an advocate–client relationship. Read our Legal Disclaimer and AI Use Policy.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. A person under 18 may use the Platform only through a parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these Terms for them.
- Give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. Advocates and instructors must also meet the requirements in the Advocate Terms or Instructor Terms.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password private and tell us at legal@vallume.com straight away if you think your account has been misused.
- If you sign in with Google or Facebook, that provider's terms also apply to the sign-in.
4. Payments, credits and pricing
- Prices are shown before you pay, in INR or, for some international buyers, USD. Applicable taxes (such as GST) are shown at checkout.
- Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not store your full card or bank details.
- Wallet balances and Vallume credits can only be used on the Platform, cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash except where the law requires, and may expire if the offer they came from says so.
- Coupons are subject to the conditions shown with them and cannot be combined unless stated.
- Refunds and cancellations are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Courses and digital content
When you buy a course you get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and view it for as long as the course stays available on the Platform ("lifetime access" means the life of the course on Vallume). You may download materials only where the course allows it, and only for your own study. You may not share your account, resell, record, copy or publicly distribute course content.
6. Consultations and legal services
Booking a consultation or service creates an engagement between you and the advocate or firm providing it. They are responsible for their professional conduct under the Advocates Act, 1961 and the Bar Council of India Rules. Vallume provides the booking, payment, chat and video tools and is not a party to the advice given, except for services Vallume delivers itself.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (questions, answers, comments, reviews, papers, profile details). You give Vallume a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content on and in connection with the Platform, for as long as it remains on the Platform. You are responsible for your content and must follow the Community Guidelines.
8. Things you must not do
- break any law, or use the Platform for fraud, harassment, defamation or impersonation;
- post content that is prohibited under Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Platform, or use it to train AI models, without our written permission;
- probe, disrupt or bypass the security of the Platform, or upload malware;
- solicit clients in breach of Bar Council of India rules, or take users off the Platform to avoid paying for a booking made through it.
9. Our intellectual property
The Platform, its software, design, the Vallume name and logo, and content we create are owned by or licensed to Vallume (Global) Legal and AI. Court judgments are public documents; judgment data is sourced from public datasets under their licences (including CC-BY-4.0) and attributed on the relevant pages.
10. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time from your account settings or by writing to legal@vallume.com. We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if it breaks these Terms or the law, or to protect users or the Platform. Where reasonable we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. Purchases already used, and clauses that by nature should survive (payment, IP, liability, disputes), survive termination.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Platform available and accurate but provide it "as is" and "as available". Features may change, and we may withdraw a feature with reasonable notice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Vallume is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits or data, or for the advice, services or content of independent advocates and instructors. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
13. Indemnity
You agree to compensate Vallume for losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your violation of someone else's rights.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please raise the issue with us through our Grievance Redressal process so we can try to resolve it. Subject to your rights as a consumer, the courts having jurisdiction at the place of our registered office have exclusive jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Each update is published as a new version on this page, with its version number and effective date. For material changes we will give notice on the Platform or by email before they take effect. Using the Platform after a new version takes effect means you accept it.
